By accessing or using Lil Story Writers (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are a parent or legal guardian creating an account for your child, you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and your child.

2. Description of Service

Lil Story Writers is an AI-powered writing platform designed for children. The Service provides writing prompts, real-time AI coaching feedback, and a parent dashboard to review your child's writing progress. The Service is available through a web browser.

3. Accounts & Registration

  • Parents or legal guardians create accounts using Google authentication.
  • Parents may add one or more child profiles, each protected by a 4-digit PIN.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and your child's PIN.
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a parent account.

4. Acceptable Use

You and your child agree not to:

  • Attempt to circumvent AI safety guardrails or content filters
  • Use the Service to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content
  • Share account credentials with unauthorized individuals
  • Use automated tools or bots to access the Service without permission
  • Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the AI models

5. AI Coach Limitations

Please be aware that:

  • AI coaches provide writing guidance for educational purposes only, not professional advice.
  • AI-generated feedback may occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete.
  • The AI is designed to guide, not write content for your child.
  • AI coaching is supplementary and does not replace classroom instruction.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Your child's writing: Your child retains full ownership of all writing they create on Lil Story Writers.
  • Our service: Lil Story Writers retains all rights to its software, AI coaches, user interface, and branding.
  • We may use anonymized, aggregated usage data to improve our coaching quality, but we will never publish or share your child's individual writing without explicit consent.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI feedback will be perfectly accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lil Story Writers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Termination

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • You may delete your account and all associated data through the Parent Dashboard or by contacting us.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
